# Files App Viewer (OOD 2.x)

After upgrading to OOD 2.0.9 the behavior of viewing files in the Files app has changed. Before it would open as a convenient in-window popup that you could very quickly scroll through and close. In the new version of the files app it always opens as a new browser window.

While this gets the job done it breaks screen sharing (through teams/zoom and such) and is inconsistent with the edit option which always opens in a new tab.

Is it possible to change this behavior to open in a new tab instead of a new window? The in-window popup was nice but would probably require a lot more development work.
