Is there anything in /var/log/messages on the compute node where the job ran? Perhaps its a Singularity image failure which would log there. Also, have you considered running rstudio-server without Singularity?

My suggestion would be to get an interactive session going and try to start it interactively by shelling into a singularity image and trying to start it. It may fail immediately, but since you’re in an interactive singularity container, logs inside the container (like /var/lib/rstudio-server/monitor…
