Looks like there is a minor bug in [2. Setup User Mapping — Open OnDemand 3.1.0 documentation](https://osc.github.io/ood-documentation/latest/authentication/overview/map-user.html)

text: “Versions prior to 2.0 relied on [user\_map\_cmd](https://osc.github.io/ood-documentation/latest/reference/files/ood-portal-yml.html#ood-portal-generator-user-map-cmd) to do this. Since 2.0 you should use the simpler and faster [user\_map\_match](https://osc.github.io/ood-documentation/latest/authentication/overview/ood-portal-generator-user-map-match).”
