Bc_desktop locked desktop password fails

Hi,
OOD v3.1.9 installed, running bc_desktop for Xfce desktop. Desktop works great but if the Lock Screensaver option is turned on and the screen locks, the desktop password in connection.yml doesn’t work. So once the desktop is locked there is no way to recover it, the job has to be killed.

I know this used to work at least a year ago because I can pull up old tickets explaining how to recover the desktop. Not sure why it’s no longer working, however.

The password in connection.yml is for the novnc session not the xfce session so that lines up. I would think the screen lock would use the users local password but that probably depends on how you do auth on the cluster as I imagine you must be doing at least ldap passwords. Not that screen locking isn’t a reasonable request but out of curiosity, why would you want that on?

Weird, I must be wrongfully thinking of the RStudio-Server password in connection.yml when that application is running. We don’t use LDAP for auth.

Apologies, I consider this issue closed.
