I’m Dheeraj Sudan and my wife Meenu Hinduja, run a Startup and I am upgrading our Open OnDemand cluster to the latest stable release, the Job Composer app fails to launch and returns a 500 error. Passenger appears active, but logs show permission-related warnings. Could someone guide me on troubleshooting steps or configuration checks to resolve this issue?

If you can share the specific permission errors you are seeing, that would help me troubleshoot the issue, but as a first step I’d check that the source files for the job composer have the proper owner and mode to be readable by all the intended users. You can check out the docs for Enabling and Disabling Applications to see where these files are located and what permissions they should have.
You may also consider disabling the Job Composer and migrating your jobs to the Project Manager (assuming you are running v4.1), which can do all the same things. The Job Composer will be disabled by default in version 5.0, so you may save yourself some time (and avoid the issue) if you are able to make the switch early.
