System status app -- run as user

Hi All,

Our cluster is split between two groups, so not every user has access to all the nodes. It looks like the sinfo commands used to populate the system status widget might be run as the root user because it seems to show a lot more idle nodes than the user would have access to. How can I make the system status widget show only the nodes available to the user?

It’s not run as root, but it does return all information for the cluster regardless of access.

I don’t think there’s a way to fix it on your side easily. Along with a sinfo call, we’d likely have to make a sacctmgr call for accounts and queues to stitch it all together.

I’ve made a ticket upstream, but it’d likely be a few tickets to piece it all together.
