Xfce.sh not the one I expected to be in 2.0.28

I’m trying to customize my XFCE environment, and as such I’m following the excellent tips and tricks session of July 7th. However, despite having installed release 2.0.28 my xfce.sh script doesn’t contains the line with OOD_SESSION_ID like it should be as below. I’m missing the DESK_CON*** lines.

I’m deploying using the OSC ansible project, and not touching that file. Also I noticed that there are no OOD_* environment variables listed in my session (redirecting printenv output to a file show that). What can be wrong here ?
Thank you,

Hi Xavier

I see the subject, but no content. Is there anything that I can help you with?

Thanks,

I’ve undo my message deletion as I’m still having this issue. Yes I need help as I don’t see the customization hooks in the xfce script I have on my environment despite deploying the 2.0.28 RPMS.

Thanks Xavier.

I’m going to play with today, and see what I can figure out.

Thanks,

Hi Xavier.

You will need to add the the Missing pieces, please.

Thanks,
-gerald

What do you mean ? I need to add the lines DESK_CONFIG and below ?
I tried this but unfortunately I don’t have any OOD_* env variables.

I’ve got an answer from Bruce Carpenter who shared how he has done this, and yes these pieces are all custom. It would be great to make this a generic implementation so it would be easier to customize xfce desktops.
Thank you,
Xavier
