Is there a way to have file upload be available inside a batch connect app’s form? Currently users could:
- Go to the Files app, upload their file (choose where!)
- Go to the batch connect app and use the Path picker to select their uploaded file
- Submit job
I would like to combine step 1 and 2, so that the user can choose a file on their PC in the batch connect app form and the app itself chooses where it gets stored. Alternatively, having something like an upload button in the path picker would also already be nice. While using the Files app is not a big deal, it would be a nice quality of life upgrade.
Use case: I am setting up a batch connect app for students of a big data processing course and they use our cluster’s Open OnDemand portal to submit their self-created .jar program to a small big data cluster (hence it is expected to change each time they submit). They will not be familiar with the rest of our cluster and we would avoid a little bit of friction if the form allowed them to upload file and submit directly rather than them having to navigate our cluster’s file system prior to submission.
Is something like this possible?
