Group specific app visibility

Hi all,

I did not see this elsewhere but forgive me if I am mistaken.

I have now run into a few scenarios where various interactive apps end up being group/lab/partition specific and was wondering about the feasibility of dynamically specifying what interactive apps/desktops appear in OOD on a per user bases.

A common use case is specific classes wanting tweaked and custom Jupyter notebooks. Currently, all users on OOD can see those custom apps but ideally only the users in that class’s unix group would see them.

Yea, It’s here in the docs, but you’ve got it already really, it’s basically changing the group ownership of the application on the filesystem.
