App VERSION hide feature not working in 3.0

The feature of adding a file named VERSION with the contents: “unknown” to hide the app version no longer works in OOD 3.0

Hmmmm… a quick spot check seems to indicate it should work. Maybe there’s an extra newline or 2?

That said - there’s a config in 3.0 to disable it altogether.

thanks, no spaces or newlines in the VERSION file
the version shows up as version: unknown
not sure which file and how to add hide_app_version

Hmmm… looking at it again, you may be right in that we changed that behavior.

maybe it’s not working because we are using

/etc/ood/config/clusters.d/mycluster.yml

instead of

/etc/ood/config/ondemand.d/
