In version 2.0.x of OOD, the file viewer was starting a new window, while now it’s started in the same tab, which can be annoying if you close that tab or of you want to open quickly another one.
Is there a way to configure OOD to change this behavior and open a new window/tab instead ?

There’s no configuration to set to get this behavior out of OOD that I am aware of. Best bet is the right click and new tab route which is typically what I do for the files app.
Thank you for your answer, while doing it this way is fully possible, this is a major behavior change from an end user pov.
