The spread of Open OnDemand in Japan

Dear all involved in Open OnDemand,

Congratulations on hosting the Global Open OnDemand Conference!

With Open OnDemand gaining significant traction in Japan, I wanted to share some updates.

The first deployment in Japan was at RIKEN R-CCS, and recently, AIST, The University of Tokyo, Institute of Science Tokyo, and Kyushu University have also deployed it. If possible, please consider adding the following URLs to the Open OnDemand Community page:

Beyond these institutions, many universities and research centers across Japan are showing strong interest. To support this growing community, we have been hosting regular workshops to help researchers and institutions integrate Open OnDemand into their environments.

Additionally, we have launched Open OnDemand JP, a dedicated community site for sharing information about Open OnDemand in Japanese. While the site is still in its early stages, we plan to expand it in the coming months.

Excited to see Open OnDemand continue to evolve and thrive!

Best regards,

Thank you for this wonderful update Nakao-San!

Would it be possible to get “official” logos for each of the four groups that you listed?

Best regards,

Julie

Hi Nakao-san,

Thank you for passing this information along! We love learning about how Open OnDemand is growing in Japan and how passionate you are for helping others in the OnDemand community.

We will get those institutions added to the Community page here soon.

Let us know if there is anything we can support you with as you build out that community site. Hope we can see you soon at a conference! We will be at ISC in June

Hi @jma, @moffatsadeghi,

Thank you for your kind words!
I’m currently collecting logos from each organization, so please wait a little while.

I’m not sure yet if I will be attending ISC, but some of my colleagues will be there. I’m sure they will look forward to meeting you and discussing Open OnDemand.

Best,
